Project description
E.L.I. Trading’s third DBA was called Jewels – a skin care line based on unique organic extracts (like gold, diamond, pearl, etc.)
This skin care line was very high-end and it even received a special spot in the MicaBeauty store
The products were challenging to photo-shoot due to the fact the containers were round and chrome-like so basically they mirrored me (the photographer) 😀 But with a black fabric behind me and white fabrics around the item…and lots of Photoshop retouching it came out looking great!
The boxes were unique as well, they had a magnetic seal and the layout of the box was separated to three parts (surrounding, top-to-bottom and the inside). We used an elegant vintage style pattern and a symbol “MB” to relate this line to MicaBeauty
After just a couple of years the bosses decided to change the look of this line. They changed the logo, changed the containers and boxes and revised the line so it was now based on additional organic elements (like Kombuchka, Emerald, Amethyst, Opal, Acai, Volcanic Ash). My tasks with this new change was to generate artwork for the new boxes, create paperproof for the new containers, photo-shoot the new line (and retouch) and to build the website.
Personally I didn’t like the new look of this line, but it was a good experimentation in photography and retouching. We bought a WordPress theme which I modified a lot to suit the needs of our line. Also there’s a video clip there in which I’m proud to say that I added the text that swirls and fades, in After Effects. 🙂 I hope this link of the site will stay active now with the company being in new hands.
